STEM Volunteers

STEM operates with 4 vital groups of Volunteers:

  • STEM Team Leaders
  • STEM Team Trainers
  • Office Volunteers
  • Regional Representatives

STEM Team Leaders

Although many STEM staff members are trained and certified as Team Leaders for STEM Ministries and STEM Share, most Team Leaders are volunteers who use vacation or other personal time to lead one or two Teams a year. Men, women, and married couples can serve as STEM Team Leaders.

STEM Team Leaders are required to be trained and periodically certified. Our Team Leaders are not paid, but STEM covers all of their mission trip expenses.

Currently STEM has about 60 trained Team Leaders (and we’re trusting the Lord for more!).

STEM Team Trainers

Office Volunteers

Both STEM Ministries (Minneapolis MN) and STEM Share (Bemidji MN) depend on volunteers for special projects. Please contact the Personnel Department at STEM using the "Personnel Initial Inquiry" link located on the Positions Available page.

Regional STEM Representatives

STEM is developing a program to recruit and train volunteers to occasionally represent STEM at local or regional mission conferences in the United States and Canada. This is a great opportunity for former STEM Team Members to tell others what a STEM short-term mission is all about. If you’d like more information, please contact the Personnel Department at STEM using the "Personnel Initial Inquiry" link located on the Positions Available page.
