STEM takes very seriously the goodness, correction, and grace the Lord has shown us since our beginning in 1984. We confess we’ve made a lot of mistakes — but are eternally thankful that God has taught us deeper truths and understandings as a result of those mistakes. That’s why we are willing to help other short-term mission colleagues not to have to re-invent the wheel or make costly blunders or bloopers (or worse).
STEM can help by offering your church or group any one of 3 short-term mission consulting options:

Costs
STEM does provide a small amount of pro bono, complimentary consulting. But because we receive dozens of requests every year for speaking and consulting, the vast majority of requests need to be fully paid (payable in advance to “STEM”) in order to be considered — thanks for understanding!
STEM Founder/CEO Roger Peterson is our primary consultant. STEM’s consulting fees for Roger begin at $100 for every 30 minutes of telephone or email time, up to $1,350 a day for on-site consulting and training ($450 for every 1/3 of a day). STEM will discount consecutive on-site days. Roger does tithe and gift at least 10% of his speaking and consulting time every year.
STEM Vice Presidents Jim Levin (Team Operations) and Dana Bromley (Publications and Communications) are also available for consulting. The first 10 minutes of telephone e/mail consulting are free (but then the $100/30-minute rate kicks in at the 11th minute and forward … again, thanks for understanding!). On-site speaking and consulting for Jim and Dana — or editing fees (Dana only) — will vary.
