Overnight Housing
Several housing options are now available!
We have also negotiated a discounted daily room rate of $80 (plus 14.125% tax) with the Hilton Garden Inn in Bloomingto. This hotel is located 6 miles north of Bethany Church and College of Missions, the site of the Conference. This is the only hotel providing complimentary shuttle service mornings and evenings to and from the Conference. You will have the option of registering on-line with this hotel immediately after completing the on-line Conference Registration Form (or at any other time you choose by clicking http://www.hilton.com/en/hi/groups/personalized/M/MSPBWHF-STEM-20120411/index.jhtml?WT.mc_id=POG, or call 952-831-1012). They will block off rooms for our conference until March 12, 2012. If anyone hasn't booked by then they will risk not being able to get the $80 rate.
* * * IMPORTANT HOUSING NOTE: Sorry! — when these rooms, both on the campus and at the hotel fill up (which has happened in previous years), you will need to make your own reservations elsewhere (there are 4 other hotels in the immediate area of I-494 and Highway 100/Normandale; and other hotels along I-494 closer to the MSP airport); note that costs at these other hotels will likely be much higher; and that these other hotels will NOT be providing daily transportation to/from the Conference hosting site at Bethany College of Missions (you'll need to have a rental car).
Exhibitors & Notebook Advertisers
Does your group or organization have a product, resource, or service that supports people and organizations that do short-term mission trips? If so, you need to know that many STMLC attendees are looking for such resources! Your participation as an STMLC Exhibitor or Notebook Advertiser is a very important part of this conference. Find complete Exhibitor & Advertiser Information here.

STMLC PurposeThe STMLC seeks to empower the local church and other sending entities to achieve maximum effectiveness in their STM programs.
STMLC Programming
The STMLC uses a combination of:
- Large group sessions
- Medium-sized group interactive workshops
- Small group discussions
- Spontaneous (but intentional) “hallway and meal-table discussions”
The STMLC is teeming with wisdom, experience, tools, ideas, and information you need for an effective mission trip program. Each day is intense, interactive, and packed to capacity with the conference program (so get plenty of rest at night!).
- Large group sessions also include times of worship and devotional teachings.
- An on-site Conference Bookstore sells a variety of excellent short-term mission books and resources at discounted prices.
- Several exhibitors & displayers (that specialize in some aspect of short-tem mission) will also be present to answer questions about the products or services they offer.
- Great prizes will be given away! (books, t-shirts … and maybe even some free airline tickets??)
Conference-Related Questions?
If you have any other questions concerning the STMLC or other related conference events, contact the Conference Coordinator Ryan Schlangen.
This was the best conference I’ve ever been to. I appreciated the “simple” environment — no money spent on glossy or glitz . Thank you! Thank you for having knowledgeable and respected/known speakers... STEM has been added to my Monday prayer list! We’ll send others from our team next year. —2011 STMLC attendee
