Family Mission Trips with STEM

STEM loves to help families serve together in Jesus’ name!

a young volunteer

Every member of your family has a strategic role in God’s Great Commission. Every member. No matter how young or old. No matter how much or how little life experience. God uses every willing heart in His kingdom work.

Families can join just about any “open” STEM Team. Through the mission field “classroom” of hands-on learning and serving, a STEM short-term mission can help your family experience first-hand God’s heart for the nations.  And what a great opportunity for homeschool families to join together in learning and mission. God has prepared your family as a unique harvest force (that is, any family who is available to touch the world with God’s love and salvation, while modeling what a redeemed family can be).

We've got a place for your family to join or form a STEM Team and minister for 1, 2, or 3 weeks in any one of more than a dozen locations, domestic or international.

Discounts Are Available if Needed

Families who join an international team and pay for three family members in full receive a 25% discount for up to two additional members (i.e., on the 4th and 5th family members) on the "STEM Team Fee" portion of the total cost. Families are defined as parent(s) plus their biological or adoptive children, provided the children are financial dependents living in the family home.

Families who join a domestic team and pay for three family members in full receive a 20% discount for up to two additional members (i.e., the 4th and 5th family members) on the "STEM Team Fee" portion of the total cost.

Here's what families who’ve been on a STEM outreach say:

  • I liked when we helped other people with their food [at a neighborhood food shelf]. —8-year-old
  • My favorite part was teaching English to a Somali lady. —7-year-old
  • I could help and have fun at the same time. —7-year-old
  • The most valuable part was helping my daughter form important life experiences. —Mom
  • The kids were given wonderful experiences that will affect them forever. —Children’s Pastor

Why parents say they take their children on STEM teams:

a father son team

  • To give the kids and parents a way to serve together
  • To broaden our children’s perspective
  • To stretch our comfort zone as a family
  • For my girls to learn there are people who don’t have what they do
  • To teach them that in this world of ‘Don’t talk to strangers,’ sometimes it’s okay
  • To show needy people there are those who do care and are willing to help
