STEM Share’s “Silk Road Team” brought the light and hope of Jesus to a large and distinct Unreached People Group of Central Asia living in the captivity and darkness of Islam. God opened incredible doors to connect with university students from this ethnic group wanting to learn and speak English. A few of the team members were able to share the Gospel or their faith stories in the midst of these cultural exchanges. Several relationships are continuing to be followed up through email exchange. Some of the team were able to teach English at a local school. We are grateful for the mature team God called to serve from Romania, Colorado, Ohio, Georgia, Minnesota, and Tennessee. Pray that the seeds that were planted will bear fruit and the on-site prayers will push back the darkness and create a welcome in people’s hearts for Jesus. This was STEM Share’s first team to this people group and consideration is being given to the likelihood of taking more teams to serve in the same location. Several other Unreached People Groups were impacted by this team including the Kyrgyz and Tajik.
