What happens over there?
Each STEM Share team serves among an unreached people group in a restricted access nation. This opens up exciting possibilities of how God can use you and your Team to advance His Kingdom. Your Team will bring the light of the gospel to some dark and hard places. To the extent that you let Him, God will also move in your heart so that you may hear and see more clearly His heart for the nations. Demonstrating Christ may look different than you expect! Depending on the needs of our host, you can expect a unique mix of the following...
Prayerwalking & Intercession
- Prayerwalk in places where the name of Jesus is unknown (more info on prayerwalking)
- Praying for lost people, cities, & nations
- Helping improve the local spiritual environment
Pre-Evangelism Activities
- Humanitarian assistance & relief efforts
- Opportunities to let God use your practical skills & service to bless lost, needy people and to create a welcome in their hearts for the Lord Jesus!
- Mercy Ministry: clothing/food distribution, orphan visitation & play, medical help, etc.
- Construction projects
- Teaching & education: English, computers, health/hygiene, quilting, forestry, agriculture, etc.
Encouraging Long-term Christian Workers
- You will have the opportunity to meet and serve these Workers who daily give of their lives in order to see a church emerge among an unreached people group.
National Believers
- You may have an opportunity to meet with national believers of the emerging church, encouraging them in their faith and praying for them.
Witnessing
- Your testimony will be demonstrated by how you live your life.
- Establishing and building relationships with people of an unreached people group.
- There may be opportunities for “low key” evangelism. (We will follow the guidelines of the long-term Christian Workers in this area.)
Learning
- About an unreached people group.
- About ministry in restricted access nations.
- How you can effectively pray for the Christian Workers and the unreached people group among whom they serve.
- How you can be a part of fulfilling the Great Commission, that God may receive glory from every ethnic people whom He created!
